Mum,
Seeing that last breath that you took closed the chapter on our book.
A year has passed yet still I mourn, the loss of you from dusk till dawn.
My soul is black like darkest night, whilst yours is free returned to light.
The future now is where I look, the time again we will share our book.
That time will be I know not when but I know we will meet again.
