Thank You Aunty Deb

Tribute from Anthony Laffoley

Aunty Deb, I’m going to use this as an outlet to express how I feel about your passing because I can’t say goodbye in person or be present to help our family mourn losing you. It’s not fair. I know life’s not fair, but I want to say it out loud because that’s how I feel about you being gone and articulating it may just help me move through my anger and sadness. Why is it not fair? Because you worked so hard for so long, giving so much to me and others, and now, just a few years into your retirement with baby Jaxson to enjoy, your journey is over. Thank you for everything. I have felt unconditional love from you for as long as I can remember. It doesn’t feel real yet being this far away, but I already know how hard it is going to be to visit ‘the Rock’ next time knowing you aren’t there. Love always, Anthony xox
